Supporting Youth Cricket

If we are successful in everything else we do, we will have the funds to invest in youth cricket across the county. During 2018-19, the Trust paid out grants totalling almost £24,000. To make successful investments, we need to know about your project.  Please apply using the form on this page.

Recent projects and investments

  • GRANTS – We support any member of David Shepherd Cricket Trust who applies to participate in coach training or officials training this winter:
    • Level Two coaching award – we will pay £100 of the £305 fee
    • Umpire and scorer education. Funds are available to attend DACO education courses. We want to help young people enjoy our great game in all respects. Are there any young ground-keepers out there?
    • You have to be a member of the Trust to benefit
  • For the Disability Junior Cricket Festival at Bovey Tracey CC we paid for medals, certificates and equipment
  • We have just invested £3,000 in the new Devon Academy programme and make grants to county age-group sides
  • And we supported six clubs with their winter training programme for their colts in 2018-19 in the grand total of £3,600. Money is available NOW for new or previous applicants to fund winter coaching
